Our Demo Defender With A Huge Amount of Styling

Over the past few weeks we’ve been working hard to showcase just what we can do when it comes to Defender Styling. One fresh delivery from Land Rover later, there was a basic spec 90 at our unit, ready for the Midlands LR Centre treatment. We had big plans for this vehicle and over the space of 2 weeks we created a truly unique vehicle.

The Process

First job was to strip the defender down, removing any parts that will make it easier for the wrap team, or parts which would be upgraded down the line. Being the shape and size it is, the Defender 90 is one of the easier vehicles to wrap, so the team managed to turn the wrap around all within a day.

With the colour applied to a rather bare looking vehicle it was taken back across to the workshop where the rebuild process would get underway. As we kept adding more Defender styling options, the vehicle started to look more and more like we’d planned, a true statement piece. The full list of installed parts is as follows:

Some of the installs were simply click in options such as the side vents on the wing, however other were much more involved such as the front DRL grill and the Urban Light Bar. These jobs involve bonding the items onto the vehicle and some electrical work to get them functioning on a factory looking switch within the interior of the vehicle.

We adjusted and tailored things as we went along, for example the exposed carbon weave bonnet was slightly too overpowering so we decided to wrap the outer sections in the blue green shift wrap material, making a much more cohesive look for the vehicle.

Once the exterior styling was complete it was time to pay our attention to the interior, with the re-upholstered seats, belts and carbon pack being installed. Our head technician Josh then worked his magic activating various spec options and giving the car a boost in power within the factory limitations.

Finally the security systems were installed and the Defender was good to head out on the open road!

There is a build series on YouTube for this Defender, be sure to check it out:

Vehicle Completion

As a team we had planned to head to Caffeine & Machine for a Saturday show. Those of you who have been to C&M know that the Saturdays tend to be open days where all are welcome, so this seemed a tasteful opportunity to share our work with like minded petrol heads. We all headed over in a eclectic display of vehicles, however the Defender really was the star of the show.

All of our hard work was recognised as upon arrival the Defender was asked to park front and centre, it was great seeing it get the attention it deserved!

We are over the moon with our project and it certainly turns heads when out and about or parked up.
