Adding Rear Seating to the Land Rover Commercial Range
Here at Midlands LR Centre, we offer a rear seat conversion for the Land Rover Discovery, Defender 90 and 110.
This involves removing all of the additional caging and trims installed in the rear of the vehicle, carpeting the rear footwells and securely installing a rear bench for three passengers. Two of the seats have secure ISOFIX mounting points, so maximum safety is ensured for your loved ones.

Why Would I Get a Land Rover Commercial Rear Seat Conversion?
Not only is a rear seat conversion a fantastic way to have a family car with great tax benefits. With a folding rear bench the rear space is completely versatile, should you need a flatbed for carrying cargo or a secure area to carry passengers, all bases are covered.
What Models Can I Get a Land Rover Commercial Rear Seat Conversion on?
We install rear seat conversions to either the Land Rover Discovery, Defender 90 or 110. The rear bench is identical throughout, however, access is changed slightly with the 90 being a three-door vehicle. The driver and passenger seats slide forward enough to gain access to the rear bench.
In the Discovery and Defender 110, rear window installation with electric controls is an optional upgrade. The Defender 90 we can install the windows but can’t offer an electric control given the location.
Is the Conversion Tested and Safe?
We understand that safety is paramount when it comes to seat conversions. We only use products that have been thoroughly tested and insurance-approved. The equipment installed includes:
- Adjustable Headrests (ECE 17-08 Tested)
- 2 x 3 point seatbelts (ECE16 Homologated)
- ISOfix mounts as standard
So you can rest assured that the installation has been rigorously tested and is fit for the purpose of transporting passengers.
How Long Does the Conversion Take?
The process is quite involved, there is a lot of caging and trims to remove before installing the new seating. Depending on which package you select, our basic installation which is just the seating would take 1-2 working days. For the full package with windows/operation and leather upholstering, we would need the vehicle for 4 days.
